The Walker Area Community Foundation and the Walker County Health Action Partnership have partnered with the David Mathews Center for Civic Life to host a community-based forum focusing on the health and well being of infants and toddlers. The forum is called “Minding Our Future: Investing in Healthy Infants and Toddlers.” Every couple of years, the David Mathews Center organizes a statewide forum series on an issue of public concern. Their 2014-2015 series is focused on how to best invest in the health and well being of infants and toddlers in Alabama.
The forum is Friday, January 15th from 11AM to 1PM at the CHS Building (204 19th St E, Jasper). Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP by contacting Elyse Peters or Cristy Moody at 205.302.0001 by Wednesday, January 6th. You can also email Elyse at firstname.lastname@example.org or Cristy at email@example.com. We hope to have a cross section of participants, from service providers to parents to caregivers.
Child care will not be provided, but parents are more than welcome to bring their children with them. Coloring books, crayons, and crafts can be provided and supervised by forum volunteers.
